General Questions
What are pallet grades?
Pallets are graded A, B, or C based on their condition. Grade A pallets are new or like-new, Grade B pallets are used but structurally sound, and Grade C pallets are economy-grade for light-duty use. Each grade serves different needs and budgets.
What is a GMA pallet?
GMA stands for Grocery Manufacturers Association. A GMA pallet is the standard 48x40 inch pallet commonly used throughout North America. It's the most common pallet size and fits standard warehouse equipment and truck dimensions.
How much weight can a pallet hold?
This depends on the pallet construction and condition, load distribution, and handling method. Always confirm with your supplier for your specific application.

What condition pallets can I sell?
Some partner suppliers buy pallets in a range of conditions, from good condition to broken pallets suitable for parts or recycling. Condition affects the price offered. Describe your pallets in a request to find out what suppliers can offer.
How many pallets do I need to sell?
Minimum quantities for pickup vary by supplier. Tell us how many pallets you have and where they are, and a partner supplier can let you know what options they have.
How is the price for used pallets set?
Pricing is set by the supplier and is usually based on quantity, condition, size, whether the pallets are heat treated, and current market conditions. A description and photos can help a supplier give you a quote.
Recycling & Repair
Is pallet recycling environmentally friendly?
Reusing or repairing a pallet avoids building a new one, and recycling damaged pallets can keep usable wood in service instead of sending it to a landfill.
Can any pallet be repaired?
Most pallets can be repaired if the main structural components are intact. However, pallets with extensive damage or rot may not be economical to repair. A supplier can tell you whether repair makes sense for your pallets.
How much does pallet repair cost?
Repair costs vary based on the extent of damage. Repaired pallets usually cost less than new ones, and a repair can often keep a pallet in service longer. Pricing is set by the supplier who quotes you.
Heat Treatment & Compliance
What is ISPM 15 and do I need it?
ISPM 15 is an international standard for treating and marking wood packaging used in international trade, to help prevent pest transfer. If you're shipping internationally, you likely need ISPM 15 compliant pallets, which carry an IPPC stamp. Rules vary by destination, so check current regulations and ask the supplier who quotes you about treated pallets.
Do all Grade A pallets have heat treatment?
No, not automatically. Heat treatment is a separate specification. If you need heat treated pallets, please specify this in your request. Availability of heat-treated pallets varies by supplier and grade.
